My camping trip to Perhentian Islands. Located at Terrengganu, east cost of Malaysia. About 1 hr by speed boat from Kuala Besut. Best visit between April & July very year. Sunny. Easy-to-get facilities. Friendly local people. Nice place to go for snorkelling, diving, & relaxing. Famous for its corals, beaches, diving spots, fishing, camping & international visitors. Nearest gateway is at Kuala Besut Jetty, Terengganu.

My trip to Singapore for Asia Pacific Rail 2001 Conference at Grand Hyatt Hotel. Located at Orchard Road. Near Orchard SMRT Station. Walking distance & easy-to-get public transportation (MRT, buses & cabs). Busiest hanging-out spot in the city (foreigners too). Many shopping malls (Far East Plaza etc). I stayed at Goodwood Park Hotel. Around SD 400/day. Nice view. Services OK. Strategic & peace place to stay in. Recommended!
